Dr. Becky Holvik decided to become a veterinarian when she was a small child on her family’s hobby farm because of her love for horses and goats, the smell of all the medicines in the truck and because the veterinarian knew everything. Many years later she graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College with the Class of 1999. Her family has been in the Meaford/Thornbury area since 1993 when they moved north from the Erin/Orangeville area.
Professionally, Dr. Holvik’s interest in medicine complements Dr. Levy’s passion for orthopedic surgery. Dr. Becky shares her life outside TVH with her husband and 2 wonderful little boys who also love animals. Their hobby farm is home to a few very loved Quarter horses, a small herd of Nubian dairy goats, an adventurous flock of chickens, 3 comfortable cats, and a couple of dogs (including her Border Terrier buddy, Reepicheep). In addition to a very busy family life, Dr. Becky has a passion for veterinarians to use their skills overseas to serve people in need.
